I think it has been pretty well established by the number of reviews I’ve done on Rogue-likes that I’m a big fan of the genre. However, any chance I get to cross my love of Rogue-likes with my love of cozy games is like a match made in Gaming Heaven. So, when I got the chance to play the demo of Grimoire Groves ahead of its release (and the Steam Next Fest) I jumped at the chance.

I’m a fan of the early 2010s brand of crap German simulators you’d find in the bargain bins of odd shops. I say this because from there you find the gems of Euro Truck Simulator, Gas Station Simulator, and all the other “no, let’s take this seriously” evolutions of the simulator genre. This year I even wrote about Autopsy Sim, which isn’t so much a job simulator but wants to be all the same.

Dungeon Clawler (PC) Preview

I love a good claw machine. In fact, when playing the Yakuza/Like a Dragon games I could spend hours playing around with the UFO Catcher mini-games. As such, it feels like a no-brainer to play a game like Dungeon Clawler, a Rogue-like centered around a claw machine. In Dungeon Clawler, you play one of many rabbit characters who have accidentally lost one of their feet gambling.
